Birmingham Events 2011: The Irish Invasion (pt. 1)

Everyone remembers the great British invasion of the 1960s – kicked off by four cheeky mop-topped youths going by the names of Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr a.k.a The Beatles. A flood of young British performers went overseas to the United States to top the charts and attract rapturous audiences eager to hear their music. What a time it was!

It seems that something similar will be happening in Birmingham in March next year (albeit not quite on the same epochal, culture defining level) as three very talented Irish groups will be coming to Birmingham to perform: up-and-comers The Script, Westlife, and Boyzone.

The Script will be performing at the LG Arena on the 17th March 2011, as part of an arena tour of the United Kingdom that should cement their reputation as an exciting live band. Demand for tickets should be high, as many will want see them again – others “For the First Time”. Should you be lucky enough to get tickets for the gig, you may be thinking: What will I do about accommodation?

Well, one option that is becoming increasingly popular is the serviced apartment. These offer all the comforts of a hotel room, but with the added bonuses of space and comfort. In contrast to the traditional “coffin” hotel room, serviced apartments these days usually have their own lounge area and kitchen, allowing you room to relax. They can cost as little as a hotel room, but would be a much better place to both get ready for the gig and return to afterwards.

What better way to spend St. Patrick’s Day than by seeing one of the best new Irish bands and then relaxing in your own serviced apartment? So if you want to stay in a serviced apartment in Birmingham, why not give Serviced City Pads a call – we have a wide range of modern luxury apartments in Birmingham.
