Dolly Parton at the O2 Arena, get a serviced apartment in London.

If you’re lucky enough to have got tickets for Dolly Parton’s London leg of her world tour, then why not book a London serviced apartment for your stay and enjoy the capital in style.

Dolly Parton needs no introduction, but due to the accepted norms of writing blogs she will have one anyway; Dolly Parton is a 65 year old American singer-songwriter best known for her work in country music, but she is also an author, multi-instrumentalist, actress and philanthropist. She is one of the most successful female country artists of all time and has been unofficially given the title, ‘The Queen of Country Music.’

During the second half of 2011 she is touring the world (the English speaking world anyway) in support of her new album ‘Better Days.’ The tour started in Knoxville in July and will finish in Melbourne at the beginning of December, taking in North America, Britain and Ireland, Denmark, Sweden and Australia along the way. The set list has 31 top hits for you to enjoy (33 if you’re able to clap/chant hard enough for an encore.) Ol’ Dolly will be visiting London in the excellent O2 Arena on 7th September which will be her only London date. You can expect to hear all your favourite Dolly hits such as ‘9 to 5’, ‘Jolene’, and ‘I Will Always Love You.’ As well as some hits you won’t know/like and some unexpected covers (unless you read the set list online, then they will be expected) that are sure to get you slapping your knees and jumping for joy. Amazingly Dolly Parton has written more than four thousand songs, received seven Grammies, scored forty-one top ten country albums and enjoyed one hundred and ten charted singles in her forty year career.

When you come down to stay in the capital you will probably be looking for some London accommodation unless you know someone well enough to stay over while you’re down. If you would rather stay in a nice flat or apartment and don’t want to get a small, cramped hotel room then why not try a London serviced apartment? When compared to booking a hotel room, a serviced apartment gives you so much more space, around 40% extra on average compared to a comparable hotel comparison. You still get to enjoy all the luxury and service that you would in a hotel room, but you get all the space and comfort and a modern apartment. It’s like staying at a friend’s place, expect you get a whole London apartment to yourself and you don’t have to do any washing up!
