Liverpool Food & Drink Festival 2011
This September sees the return of the Liverpool Food & Drink Festival to take place over a period of one week in September. The final weekend plays host to a large free to enter fair located in the glorious Sefton Park in South Liverpool. The now annual festival will take place 3-11 September across various bars and restaurants in the city, with the final showcase event in the park on Saturday and Sunday. The event has proved hugely popular during its short lifespan and has grown year-on-year. 2011 looks to be no different and once again the region will celebrate its diverse mix of restaurants and eateries in a weeklong event.
During the week there are various different discounts and special offers available to customers with a slightly different theme for each night. For example ‘half-price Monday’ and ‘£15 a head Wednesday’ will be available at participating restaurants across Liverpool. It’s the weekend event that brings in the hungry crowds though. The highlight of the festival for the majority is the opportunity to be able to try delicious food and drink with a wide variety of bars, restaurants, producers and suppliers who are on hand to showcase their culinary delights. There will also be a cookery demo from a celebrity chef. 2010 saw TV’s James Martin take the stage in front of a delighted audience and show of his culinary skills. We can only imagine who will grace the festival with their presence this year…
For many who are visiting Liverpool to take advantage of the great offers throughout the week, why not really make it a special visit and book a serviced apartment in Liverpool instead of a cheap hotel. With an apartment the advantages are clear; much more space than an equivalent hotel room, more facilities to do what you wish and yet still the same level of luxury and comfort. Getting an apartment in Liverpool is definitely a smart idea when looking for accommodation in Liverpool, especially if hotels cheese you off.
Maybe you have been culinarily inspired by the Food and Drink Festival and want to impress your partner/friends but don’t feel the setting of your own home just doesn’t cut the mustard? Or maybe you’re looking at hotels but just can’t stand the thought of takeaways and need somewhere to build your own tea-time tantalisers? Once again, serviced apartments can be the answer. Serviced City Pads have a wide range of apartment options in Liverpool to suit all types of enquiries.
