London Shoreditch Festival – July 15 – 24

London Shoreditch Festival is now in it’s tenth year, starting on July 15 and finishing on July 24 – visitors can expect a week and half of fantastic events!. There are a range of events taking place which we expect to be the best festival year to date. The Shoreditch festival will take place in the Shoreditch park, the park is quite large and has tennis, volleyball court used by the London Volleyball Club and in the last few years an amphitheatre has been build in the grounds adding to the cool vibe that Shoreditch attracts. Serviced City Pads.
On Tuesday 19 July, there is the quirky floating cinema located in a converted canal barge opposite the Waterhouse Restaurant. The screenings are free at the point of entry for all festival attendants with a range of films to be screened. The barge theatre will be screening films, educational films for the local school children over a full five day period.

On Thursday 21st July, 6 students from Goldsmith’s Art College and the Royal Academy of Art will be exhibiting their work. The show is called ‘Get Thee Behind Me Coherency’, the works will be shown in the Bridgehouse Building which explores the rich however complexity of art fine art prodcution in 2011. The artists who are exhibiting their work are: Johann, Julie, Peter, Natalie and Nevine. On Saturday 23rd of July there will be a Canalside Walk, starting at the Waterhouse for the destination of the Olympic Stadium, there will be a tour guide in the name of Mary Sewell to entertain the walkers from start to finish, there are many buildings past and present with a history. Mary is good at telling a tale regarding the buildings, this will take about three to four hours and good walking shoes are essential. Serviced City Pads.

On Sunday 24th of July, this will be the fianl day of thes festival, long walks are planned near Orsman Road near the canals, the canals are a central part to Shoreditch and in fact this will be a ‘Canal Celebration’ for all of the Festival goers young and old. The Shoreditch Festival clearly is a great event and in it’s tenth year whilst adding new events each year, this festival will be in the London Summer Calendar for years to come. Serviced City Pads.
