Merseyside derby: Who will hold the bragging rights?

This weekend in Liverpool sees the second Merseyside derby of the season taking place at Anfield, home of Liverpool FC. It has been a relatively poor season for both football clubs in Liverpool, but it is Everton FC that currently hold bragging rights after their comfortable 2-0 victory over their neighbours earlier in the season. A lot has changed since then with troubled Liverpool FC manager Roy Hodgson having been replaced by fans favourite Kenny Dalglish who LFC hope will halt LFC’s current demise. Dalglish was the choice of the Kop, although many commentators feel it is an unusual appointment as Dalglish is a man who last managed a football team 13 years ago, and football has changed in that time. Both Everton and Liverpool are languishing in the middle section of the English Premier league, with both teams hoping that a win this weekend will act as a spark for a push towards the European places in the second part of the season.

Serviced City Pads, the serviced apartment booking company that is based in Liverpool deals with many guests who come to stay in Liverpool for the weekend to watch football matches at Anfield (Liverpool have massive fan bases in places such as Norway and Denmark). If you are one of the many Norwegian LFC supporters wanting to book accommodation in Liverpool then Serviced City Pads will be the best company to book with as they have such a wide range of serviced apartments in Liverpool – apartments are fast becoming seen as a great alternative to staying in a Liverpool hotel. We have extensive local knowledge and will be able to find the perfect place to stay for your holiday in Liverpool.

As you would expect, with Serviced City Pads being a Liverpool based business, we have both Everton and Liverpool supporters working at the Head Office. This weekend is going to be a tight affair. Liverpool FC will suffer for not having their inspirtational captain Steven Gerrard available (Gerrard was sent off for a crude challenge in their recent FA Cup defeat by Manchester United), but will be buoyed by the return of Kenny Dalglish who is sure to raide morale.

Everton go into the fixture as the team with slighlty better recent form and Serviced City pads is predicting a hard fought game with both teams sharing the spoils in a scoring draw. Jermaine Beckford will continue his recent good form and if Beckford performs he may be the difference between the two teams.

Serviced City Pads will be delighted to organise accommodation in Liverpool for both LFC and EFC supporters who are visiting Liverpool. We are the premier serviced apartment booking company in Liverpool.
