Retail Therapy In Liverpool One

People rent accommodation in Liverpool One for both business and pleasure. Previously called The Paradise Project, work was started in 2004 and finished in 2009. The aim of the project was to redevelop 42 acres of underused land in Liverpool’s city centre, to create a major retail, residential and leisure park.

When people rent luxury serviced apartments in Liverpool One, their minds immediately turn to shopping. And it’s true that despite the leisure centre, offices and residential premises (some of which are rented out as serviced apartments in Liverpool) Liverpool One is first and foremost a shopping centre. It is anchored by the department stores of John Lewis and Debenhams, and incorporates a multi-screen Odeon cinema.

Liverpool One was built to give Liverpool’s economy a boost by creating jobs and lifting its retail profile. It has done this admirably – Liverpool One is one of the largest and busiest shopping centres in Europe and we’re delighted to be able to offer apartments in Liverpool right at its heart.

The gleaming glass and steel covers hundreds of years of history but, to be fair, the real vandalism was already done in the 1940s, when the Liverpool blitz destroyed the old buildings standing on the site. During initial excavations in Chavasse Park, archaeological investigations were undertaken, as the park covered these ruins. There was some excitement in 2008 when Channel 4 filmed a Time Team Special, excavating the Old Dock now covered by Canning Street car park.
