The famed Sub Pop label then picked up the band in 2006 and gave their debut an international release, which saw the band’s profile grow massively. The album spawned a number of hit singles, such as “Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above” and “Music is My Hot Hot Sex”. The band gained a large following in the UK as part of the so-called “nu-rave” scene with bands like the Klaxons and New Young Pony Club. The band has since released the follow-up album “Donkey” in 2008 and will be over in Manchester this month as part of their tour to promote “La Liberacion”, their new album which is scheduled to be released at the end of the month. The band’s live shows have become the stuff of legend, and if you can get to Manchester to see them live then the Serviced City Pads blog recommends it. The band are famous for their high energy levels, and in the wonderfully named Lovefoxxx they have one of the best bandleaders around.
