The Sunshine Underground met whilst studying at college and worked hard to create an image and a sound for their band. Their first album, Raise the Alarm, received enthusiastic reviews and NME described the album as the “first great album of the new rave movement”. The Sunshine Underground went from strength to strength and they’ve now played some of the biggest festivals in the country, including Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds Festival and T in the Park. Sadly, in February last year, bass guitarist, Daley Smith, announced that he would be leaving the band to pursue other “adventures”. The remaining 3 confirmed that they would be continuing the band and this tour sees their first in their new line up.
