Olivia was born in Cambridge, England though moved to Melbourne, Australia with her family when she was 6 years old. She became a regular on local TV and radio shows at a young age and won a talent show on the programme, Sing Sing Sing, in which won a trip to England. Although she was reluctant to go at first, she recorded her first single in England in 1966. Her career took off from this point on but it was not until her appearance in Grease that the world really sat up and took notice. Grease has one of the best selling soundtracks of all time and has endured the test of time. It was in fact re-released in 1998 to celebrate its 20^th anniversary and was ranked as the second highest grossing film in its opening weekend, just behind Titanic.
