The Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) :
The Liverpool International Music Festival returns in August with some of the biggest names in the music industry, with more than 200 acts representing 20 countries. This will entertain audiences with around 150 hours of live music throughout the event, which runs from Wednesday 13 until Saturday 31 August. There will be performances from Boy George, Shaggy, The Hoosiers and so much more.
Sefton Park will also host the LIMF summer jam, this includes a special performance from the Royal philharmonic orchestra in a special concert hosted by classic FM, taking place on Friday 22nd August. LIMF has engaged a number of artistic directors to work with various artists from different musical backgrounds and genres in order to create music under the theme of Worlds Firsts, this is to fulfil their aim to create never before seen or heard music performances.
Liverpool Food and Drink Festival
The food and drink festival is returning to Sefton Park, from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September, celebrating the very best of the city’s fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes as well as some of the finest food producers. The park will be transformed into a wonderful food filled heaven bringing together chefs and producers throughout the city.
With so much planned for one weekend, this really is a wonderful time to visit the city. Friday evening will be a special celebration of pub grub and real ales, with music and entertainment as well! During the rest of the weekend, we will see the familiar festival with TV chefs, entertainment, and a great mix of food and drink available. There will also be a ‘chocolate area’, an ‘edible garden’ a ‘children’s zone’, dedicated to family entertainment, as well as a whole program of master classes and celebrity chef demos.
