Wicked the musical has been adapted by wonderful scores of Stephen Schwartz by the book of Gregory Maguire Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, a parallel novel of the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. The original theatre musical started in Broadway in 2003 as initially to test the water to establish if the public would recieve Wicked in a positive way. Initially the musical had mixed reviews by the infamous New York Times the theatre going public loved the stage show and it has been touring the world ever since.

Wicked has been shown at the Apollo Victoria Theatre since September 2006 to raves reviews from the public and is based on the following story: Wicked explores the concept that the Wicked witch of the West, here known as Elpahaba, is misunderstood, victimized person whose behaviour is merely a reaction against a charlatanWizard’s corrupt government. It also depicts her relationship with the preppy, popular and ambitious Galinda Upland, who ultimatley becomes the Glinda the Good Witch of the North.

Most of the other students do not like Elpahaba and align themsleves with the popular and good looking Glinda.
